Youth struck by vehicle at Centennial Road and Riddell Road intersection

Your Orangeville Police Service is investigating a motor vehicle collision where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Centennial Road and Riddell Road Saturday evening.

On Saturday, December 1, 2018, at approximately 7:45 p.m., a 16-year-old pedestrian was walking westbound on Centennial Road. The youth was struck by a southbound black Pontiac Vibe, at Riddell Road while crossing the intersection. The pedestrian was transported to Headwaters Health Care Centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, then relocated to a Toronto area hospital.

Police closed a portion of Riddell Road and Centennial Road to investigate the incident. The roads were opened again at approximately 5:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

Police are continuing their investigation and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision.
