Police investigate fail to remain collision

Your Orangeville Police Service is investigating a fail to remain collision that occurred in the driveway of the Best Western Inn / Boston Pizza at 7 Buena Vista drive, in the early morning of Thursday August 30, 2018.

On Thursday, August 30, 2018, at approximately 1:20am, a black 4 door car was driving out of the parking lot of the Best Western Inn / Boston Pizza, when it struck a pedestrian crossing the roadway. The driver fled the scene prior to police arriving. The car was last seen turning right from the parking lot onto Buena Vista Drive.

The pedestrian, an 18-year-old male, received minor injuries and reported the incident to police the next day.

The vehicle is believed to have damage to the front driver’s side and hood as a result of the incident. The driver was described as being a middle age white male.
