Orangeville man arrested for impaired driving after crashing into bush

The Orangeville Police Service has arrested and charged a 26-year-old male with impaired driving after crashing into a bush in the yard of a Northgate Drive residence early Saturday morning.

On Saturday, October 7, 2017, at approximately 2:45am, police received a call regarding a vehicle that had crashed into a bush and landscaping rock at a residence on Northgate Drive.
A 2007 Mazda had been travelling eastbound on Forest Park Drive but failed to negotiate the curve onto southbound Northgate Drive, leaving the roadway and into the yard of the residence.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged 26-year-old Benjamin Wyatt Hill, of Orangeville, with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Failing to Provide a Breath Sample. The man’s driver’s licence was automatically suspended and his vehicle was seized and impounded as a result of the charges.

The accused man was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Orangeville on October 31, 2017 to answer to the allegations.
