Satechi’s Qi2 charging stands are perfect for your iPhone 16 (and your Android phone)

But when it comes to charging my daily driver phones, I’m increasingly relying on wireless charging stands. Using a wireless charger is pretty convenient and although the downside is that the speeds aren’t a huge hit (they don’t exceed 15W) this is more than enough when using iPhones and the wireless charger. When Satechi announced that it would come out with Qi2 chargers, it obviously caught my attention. There are two products in the series: a 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand that can be used to charge your iPhone, Apple Watch, and headphones simultaneously, and a 2-in-1 stand that charges your iPhone and headphones.

Both charging stands are made of metal and they do a great job of powering all of my Apple products. Rubber feet on the bottom ensure the stands don’t move around on the desk, and the build quality is easily the best of all the charging stands I’ve used to this point.

What I like most about both chargers is that they are ideal for travel; They fold flat, making them easy to carry on the road. While I haven’t returned to travel yet, the 3-in-1 charging stand Nexode Pro 160W GaN charger It will be an ideal combination to use on the go.

The 3-in-1 wireless charging stand in particular is great; It comes with a 45W charger, along with travel plugs for the EU and UK, and charges my iPhone 16 Pro Max at 15W alongside my smartwatch.

Obviously, the ability to charge my Apple Watch along with my phone is a big deal; I usually only have to carry the cable for the smartwatch, and it’s a relief not to have to do that. Even though I don’t wear headphones regularly, they are my first choice Audeze MM-500 — I used the stand to charge the headphones I tested and there were no problems in this area.

Like other charging stands, you can use Standby Mode on the iPhone 16 to see the time or set up a digital photo frame while the device is charging. Both stands charged my iPhone 16 Pro Max at 15W and there were no issues with overheating.

The Qi2 standard is interesting because it uses 15W as standard and all chargers must have magnets to ensure a strong seal with phones. While Satechi’s wireless charging stands are designed for use with iPhones, I routinely charge my Pixel 9 Pro XL with it, and it does an equally good job, though it’s limited to 12W because Google doesn’t offer Qi2 on its devices.

I am using Thinborne’s excellent condition I use it with my Pixel 9 Pro XL, and the case has built-in magnets that make for a good seal with Satechi’s charging dock. Ideally you will need to use a case with your Android phone; Without the MagSafe case, all the devices I tested slid off the stand and failed to connect.

In this regard, Android devices do not yet have Qi2 (this should change in 2025), and we should see additional products in this category when Samsung and Chinese manufacturers integrate the standard.

The 3-in-1 charging station is available for $129, while the 2-in-1 option is available for $79. I recommend getting the 3-in-1 option out of the two; The Apple Watch charging puck makes a big difference and it’s easy to charge three devices at the same time. If you don’t use the Apple Watch and just want a charging stand instead, the 2-in-1 option is a good value.

Satechi has left no stone unturned here, and if you need a reliable Qi2 wireless charging stand these should be at the top of your list.
