Suns’ NBA 2K25 ratings are 100% wrong

Kevin Durant should be over 94 especially on offense

Kevin Durant one of the best players in the worldand has done nothing in recent months to change that fact. To think that KD could be considered under 95 overall in this year’s game is ludicrous and, in fact, downright insulting. This is not realistic at all.

There’s nothing Durant can’t do on the NBA court. He is an elite shooter from all over the court, an excellent drop handler with great creativity, and has the ability to stop on a dime or burst by the primary defender. He is a lethal finisher at the rim who can control his body to evade defenders trying to block his shots.

Defensively, he can guard positions 1 through 5 thanks to his length, strength and athleticism. He’s not very good at playing with centers on the block, but he makes up for it with his length and wingspan. He knows how to give ground without sacrificing initiative and puts himself in the right position to play the ball when the opponent makes his move and attempts a shot.

Of course, Durant is highly rated in NBA 2K25. However, it deserves to be ranked significantly higher. 94 points is not high enough for someone who is arguably one of the top five players in the world.

So why was the Suns superstar ranked so low based on his talent? We may never know the true answer today, but what we do know is that Durant has been one of the best players in the world for almost fifteen years at this point.

When a player has been a superstar for so long, it’s understandable for game developers to get superstar fatigue. Just as voters have MVP fatigue, which is probably the only reason LeBron James hasn’t won a dozen or more MVP awards, giving the same group of players top ratings in a game can also be boring.

Durant has been a superstar for nearly fifteen years at this point, and this rating appears to be less about Durant himself and more about passing the torch to the next generation.

Devin Booker should be closer to 95 than his current 92

This NBA 2K25 grade isn’t a terrible grade like Durant’s 94 grade, but that doesn’t make it right either. Devin Booker is an elite shooting guard who can create his own offense at will. He is already a 70 point game under his belt and has outstanding talent as a microwave striker. When Booker gets angry, there is no one in the world who can defend him effectively.

He is a very good player who is excellent at what he does on the field. His rating is likely due to Booker not being viewed as a versatile player. But he is so great in his areas of strength that it dwarfs everything else. He’s also not as bad a defender and quarterback as his reputation suggests.

Bradley Beal is a bit overrated at 85

Bradley Beal isn’t a bad player by any means, but he’s certainly not even close to being at his peak, and the game’s developers seem to be grading the veteran guard slightly more on his past reputation than his current reputation. Capabilities in terms of production.
