Bengaluru Metro services on Green Line to face partial disruption on October 3, here’s why – India TV

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) announced partial suspension of Metro services on the Green Line on October 3. The decision was taken to facilitate legal safety inspection before the opening of a new section. In a statement, BMRCL said that the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (South Circle) will carry out inspection of the newly constructed extension between Nagasandra and Madavara Metro stations. Therefore, metro operations on the Green Line will be affected from 10:00 to 14:00 on October 3.

The statement said, “On this date, train services will not be possible between Nagasandra and Peenya Industry Metro stations from 10.00 to 14.00. During this period, trains will operate only between Peenya Industry and Silk Institute Metro Stations on the Green Line.” .

BMRCL also added that the train leaving Silk Institute at 9 am will be the last train to Nagasandra before the above disruption. It was stated that there was no change in subway operations on the Purple Line.

Bengaluru Metro recorded highest foot traffic on August 6

Bengaluru Metro recorded the highest footfall of 8.26 lakh on August 6, surpassing previous ridership records. Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited said in a statement that 8,26,883 people traveled by Metro rail. “On August 6, Bengaluru Metro recorded the highest ridership at 8.26 lakh, surpassing previous passenger records. The previous ridership record was 8.25 lakh on August 15, 2022,” a metro official said.
