Agatha Fans, Let’s Start Theorizing About Emma Caulfield’s Dottie Again

Could Dottie Be a Special Variant of Marvel’s Arcanna?

This doesn’t make much sense for a place where copies of a dead book might be found, but given that quantum physics is indeed a natural science, it feels like a potential clue to Dottie’s true identity.

Earth-31916’s Arcanna wasn’t just interested in such scientific studies. Rather, his powers include the ability to see and influence quantum dimensions, as well as the ability to see all possible outcomes of a given event. But for the sake of this argument, it’s much more interesting to note that not only is he capable of creating extremely realistic illusions and completely manipulating matter, but he can also move characters back and forth between various dimensions and universes.

The Path of the Witches is a structure that changes for each coven that begins the so-called walk; so it’s possible that everything we’ve seen so far, including the poisoned Trial #1, is not the “real” Way, but rather is theoretically possible. An illusion Arcanna set up for Agatha’s half-baked troupe to travel through. And before anyone could tell the difference.
Agatha was as surprised as anyone to see the basement doorway open, and she also seemed worried about the door closing behind them. Could this be because the Path isn’t how it normally manifests itself, and is actually the path Arcanna has chosen to transport the six characters from one realm to the next?
If Wanda is truly dead and no longer clearly in control of Agatha’s magic, perhaps it’s Dottie, not Rio as many suspected, who has been confusing herself as Agnes in the true-crime-inspired TV mode for the past three years.

Arcanna also has the power of flight, as well as being able to control huge amounts of water at the same time and making it appear as if she is walking on that water.

As viewers know all too well, Episode 3’s biggest threat, beyond poison and hallucinations, is that the house they are in will eventually become completely submerged under water, despite the absence of rain or any significant source of water outside the house.

Of course, the Witches Road area itself is also capable of all the manipulations mentioned above, and since the setting has not been explored over and over again like other familiar comic book locations, we have no way of proving otherwise. Maybe someone else is responsible, like a demon named Mephisto, or maybe Alice’s mother is pulling the strings so Alice can find her.

But at this point, the details come together convincingly enough to point to Emma Caulfield’s Dottie as potentially responsible. Unless this show really pulls the rug out from under everyone and other the characters are Arcanna, it would be a real bummer if it wasn’t for this WandaVision links. Unless it’s Dottie’s husband Phil who can’t keep blood off his clothes.

Maybe Dottie Is Hiding a Scarier Secret

Given the attention to detail seemingly always on this series, I question how much of a coincidence it is that Dottie’s fake credits in the series premiere appear above a supposedly Westview Blue Devils high school football scoreboard. (Since home teams are usually indicated on the left.) Of course, yellow is the color of witchcraft most appropriately applied to Caulfield’s character, but what if this is all just another blue herring… well… red herring.

now this Mephisto’s name checked directly with the idea that he has slaves While carrying out his orders, it is inherently possible for Dottie to become a soldier in the evil character’s army. I guess I can’t quite explain where the Blue comes from there though, the commonality being beyond being the team mascot. Yellow Devils not so much. (Unless we talk about it Matt Murdock’s yellow Daredevil costume.)

Whatever the answers are – I fully foresee being wrong on all counts – Agatha from start to finish speculation has been letting me flex my muscles like squeaky AF ever since WandaVision is over, so keep checking back every week to see what detail will lift me up the theory flagpole.
