Court documents reveal new details about Kristi Bain’s arrest

LIMESTONE CO., Ala. (WAFF) – Newly released court documents reveal new details about the theft and ethics arrest of the former deputy director of the Alabama Industrial Development and Training Board.

Kristi Bain was arrested by Cullman Police on September 20th. Court records show Bain is accused of stealing more than $100,000 in public funds from AIDT.

He was also indicted on nine ethics charges for using his position to gain control of golf carts, televisions, drones, robots and other equipment.

A court date for Bain has not been scheduled.

Bain was a former candidate for the Cullman County Commission in 2022. He was released from his job at AIDT in 2023.
