WA troopers say the man tried to drive the asphalt roller onto the trailer. Here’s what happened next

The 63-year-old Pasco man was checked into an area hospital Monday after he and the asphalt roller he was driving fell off a trailer, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Trooper Will Finn said the cylinder did not fall on him. Still, he said the man was taken to Providence Centralia Hospital in Lewis County to be checked out.

Around 3:30 p.m. Monday, troopers said one of the asphalt rollers got stuck on the side of the trailer as the man was moving the roller toward the trailer.

The man was thrown from the machine and it fell to the ground, according to the State Patrol.

The incident was reported on state Route 508 in central Lewis County.
