Navarre Middle School placed on lockdown after loaded magazine found

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – Navarre Middle School was temporarily placed on lockdown Monday after police say a loaded magazine was found inside the building.

Police say no guns were found inside the building and social media rumors regarding an intruder at the school were false.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

The South Bend Police Department says it is working with South Bend Community School Corporation officials on the investigation.
