Overturned trailer ‘loaded with cattle’ blocks interstate ramp in Montgomery

An interstate ramp in Montgomery was blocked after a “cattle-loaded” commercial vehicle overturned just before rush hour Monday, law enforcement officials said.

The single-vehicle crash occurred around 4 p.m. and involved a commercial tractor trailer, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Lt. Jeremy Burkett said. He said the crash “completely blocked” the northbound ramp at exit 167 on Interstate 65. The ramp was closed.

Burkett said troopers are investigating the scene and will provide updates.
