Seminole Hard Rock Tampa evacuated twice after 2 hidden devices were found in casino

Seminole police and FBI launch investigation after two hidden devices were found at Seminole Hard Rock tampaforcing the casino to evacuate twice.

A crude device containing pieces of fireworks was found in the men’s restroom adjacent to the casino shortly before midnight Sunday, according to the Seminole Police Department.

Part of the casino was immediately evacuated and the device was disabled with the help of police. Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad.

The casino reopened at 3 a.m. Monday.

Shortly after noon, the casino was evacuated again after a second hidden device was found in the men’s restroom on the casino’s mezzanine level.

The device was identified as part of the ongoing investigation and ongoing review of casino surveillance videos.

The second device was also disabled and removed with the assistance of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad.

All areas of the casino have reopened.
