Cocaine and gambling devices found at property linked to Carril Mochomos

LEVELLAND, Texas (KCBD) – Nine people were taken into custody after drugs and gambling devices were found at a property in Levelland.

Authorities searched a property linked to Carril Mochomos. They published the following statement regarding the operation:

Members on September 29, 2024 The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), Texas Racing Commission, South Plains Auto Theft Task Force, and the Hockley County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a property connected to Carril Mochomos in Levelland, Hockley County. During the search of the property, 135 grams of cocaine and several gambling devices were seized. Nine people were arrested for various crimes, including Promotion of Gambling, Engaging in Organized Criminal Activities, Money Laundering, Use of Proceeds from Racketeering or Illegal Debt Collection, Illegal Racing, and Production and Delivery of a Controlled Substance. The investigation is currently still ongoing. We will forward any additional questions you have regarding the charges to the Hockley County District Attorney’s Office.
