This Android OEM is making MagSafe accessories for its future flagships and iPhones

Apple became popular MagSafe With 2020’s iPhone 12 series, smartphone charging increases wireless charging with magnets. We’ve seen plenty of MagSafe accessories for iPhones since then, but a major Android OEM is now producing magnet-based accessories for its upcoming products flagship phones.

An OPPO manager posted a video about this: Weibo Showing several magnetic accessories for the future Find the X8 series. Check out the clip below.

The video shows off a few accessories like a 5,000mAh magnetic power bank and a 50W magnetic charger. The company also demonstrated support for third-party magnetic front panel mounting. Additionally, OPPO’s video shows that the peripherals work with an iPhone. This is good news for Apple fans because it means you now have more options when it comes to magnetic accessories.

The video also reveals that the OPPO Find X8 series phone needs a case for magnetic accessories. We guess this is because Apple has a patent for placing magnets inside the phone. While saying this, HMD Skyline It has built-in magnets to enable Qi 2 charging with magnetic connections.

OPPO is expected to launch the Find X8 series in China next month and is expected to launch these new phones in global markets in 2025. So we’ll know more in the coming weeks.
