Fans praise Manningcast’s ‘phenomenal’ call for Falcons’ winning touchdown against Eagles on MNF: ‘A great way to watch the game’

Despite recent concerns over low ratings, it appears fans of the game are still enjoying watching the ‘Manningcast’ version of Monday Night Football.

The alternate broadcast of ESPN’s signature football product was released for Monday night’s game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Atlanta Falcons.

Brothers Peyton and Eli Manning were joined by a number of guests, including former Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan.

All three retired quarterbacks were there to watch Atlanta’s powerful final push, which ended with a touchdown with just over 30 seconds left in the game to win 22-21.

A clip of the entire final drive was shared on social media, and fans responded positively to the post.

Fans loved watching the Manning brothers and Matt Ryan lead Atlanta’s winning streak

“This is so much fun to watch!” one fan who watched the stream wrote on Twitter.

Another said: ‘This is a great way to watch the game.’

“ManningCast is the best thing on TV right now,” said another fan of the show. “It’s awesome to watch three top QBs win the game on a 2-minute drive.”

One person admitted they hadn’t watched the stream, saying: “I’m not watching this… but I think I’ll start. It was really great.”

These tweets may be positive, but they come at a time when Manningcast needs more viewers than ever.

According to Sports Business Daily, the show’s 2024 season debut saw its first-ever viewership hit an all-time low of 872,000 in Week 1.

This represents a 43 percent drop from Week 1 of the 2023 season and represents just 4.2 percent of that week’s 20.5 million viewers.

This decision comes amid a carriage dispute between ESPN and DirecTV, which was later resolved.
