Rotary Club of Manama Organizes 29th Annual Football Tournament

The Rotary Club of Manama held a press conference today Gulf HotelManama to announce 29th Annual Six-Way Team Football Tournamenta major fundraiser to support the club’s charitable initiatives. The tournament will take place at the Rugby Club on 4 October 2024 from 2.30pm to 9pm, bringing together teams and members of the community for a day of friendly competition for a worthy cause.

The Six-a-Side Football Tournament is a vital part of the Rotary Club’s efforts to raise funds for its core philanthropic pillars. Funds raised will directly contribute to the following critical causes in the Kingdom of Bahrain:

1. Education for All: Ensuring that every individual, regardless of their background, has access to quality education and provides them with opportunities to grow and succeed.
2. Support for Bahrainis Living Below the Poverty Line: Providing basic food items, shelter and other forms of assistance to improve the living conditions of those most in need.

Speaking on the significance of the event, Rotary Club of Manama 2024-2025 President, Chancellor, Chairman of the Six-Man Organizing Committee, Prof. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Khalifa said, “Our fundraising efforts are aimed at addressing various urgent needs in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Through our ‘Education for All’ initiative, we aim to ensure universal access to quality education regardless of a person’s circumstances. We are also committed to supporting those living below the poverty line by providing basic resources such as food and shelter.
