Here are five new iPhone 16 features you might have missed

Apple announced iPhone 16 series this week, with gorgeous new colors, a new button for taking photos, bigger batteries, and support for Apple Intelligence. You’ve probably heard about all the major features by now, but there are some smaller features introduced this year that might have flown under the radar.

Faster charging

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus feature faster charging than ever before; both MagSafe And USB-CYou can benefit from its advantages with iPhone 16 25W MagSafe chargingand until 45W wired charging with USB-C.

This is much faster than previous iPhone models, which could only charge at up to 15W. MagSafe and up to 30W USB-CIf being able to charge your iPhone in an emergency is an important feature for you, the 16 may be time for an upgrade.

Lower minimum brightness

Apple’s latest iPhones now support a much lower minimum brightness, as low as 1 nit. If you’ve ever tried lowering your iPhone’s brightness late at night and still find it too bright, the iPhone 16 should put that concern to rest.

Macro photography

This feature was first iPhone 13 Pro is coming back in 2021The ability to take photos in macro mode has never been possible on the cheaper iPhone before. That’s because the iPhone 16 finally has a newer ultra-wide camera, finally allowing users to take close-up macro shots.

Faster Wi-Fi

New All iPhone 16 models support Wi-Fi 7The base model does offer faster Wi-Fi speeds for iPhone users — assuming you have internet speeds and a router that can take advantage of it, anyway.

Wi-Fi 7 supports speeds of up to 46Gbps, which is five times faster than Wi-Fi 6E’s 9Gbps. Wi-Fi 7 also operates on 320MHz channels and supports the 6GHz band, greatly reducing interference and signal congestion.

Spatial Photos and Videos

Finally, the iPhone 16 now supports: Spatial Photos and Spatial Videos For Apple Vision Pro. Apple introduced Spatial Video support on the iPhone 15 Pro last year, but this support is new to the entry-level iPhone 16.

It also added support for Spatial Photo, which lets users take shots with depth data that look more immersive when viewed with Apple’s new $3,500 mixed reality headset.

To summarize

While flashier features like Apple Intelligence, colors, and the new camera record button may get people to upgrade more phones, I think these smaller features are much more compelling.
