Police say 3 dead in crash on Garden State Parkway

Three people were killed in a car crash on the Garden State Parkway Saturday night, authorities said.

According to New Jersey State Police, the crash happened at 11:55 p.m. in the northbound lanes near milepost 131 in Woodbridge. The driver of the Tesla Model S veered off the roadway to the left, hitting a sign, a barrier and a concrete bridge support.

Police said driver David Dryerman, 54, passenger Michele Dryerman, 54, and female passenger 17, of Woodcliff Lake in Bergen County, were killed. They did not say how the victims were related.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
