Police investigate suspicious person and vehicle

The Orangeville Police Service is investigating a report of a suspicious vehicle and male, after incidents from Friday, July 17 and Wednesday, July 22.

On Friday, July 17, a 16-year-old female was walking north on C Line near Centennial Road when a black SUV passed her sounding the horn at her. The same vehicle passed the female again on Diane Drive and the driver again sounded the horn and waved as he drove past the female. On Wednesday, July 22, at approximately 1:00 p.m. the female was in her Oxford Street residence when the doorbell rang. The female looked outside and saw the same black SUV and the same male at her front door. The female did not answer the door and the male left the area. The incidents were reported to police.

The vehicle is described as a black SUV, unknown make, with chrome/silver accents. The driver is described as a black male, mid to late 20’s, fit/average build with short hair.

Police are continuing their investigation and would like to identify and speak with the driver to determine his intensions and to ensure the safety of the community.
