Shelburne man facing impaired driving charge

The Orangeville Police Service has arrested and charged a 22-year-old Shelburne man, with Impaired Driving after reports of a vehicle striking a curb in the Westside Market Village Plaza late Friday night.

On Friday, May 22 at approximately 11:55 p.m., police received a call to attend in the parking lot of the Westside Market Village Plaza located at 500 Riddell Road. A vehicle had struck a curb and was lodged over the curb unable to move. Officers attended the scene to investigate the incident.

As a result of the police investigation the driver was arrested for Impaired Driving.

Zachary Stephen John Stagg, 22, of Shelburne, is charged with Operation While Impaired by Drug. His driver’s license was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

The accused man is scheduled to appear in court in Orangeville on July 28, 2020 to answer to the allegations.
