Police investigate break and enter at local restaurant
The Orangeville Police Service is currently investigating a break and enter that occurred early Sunday morning at a restaurant at the corner of Centennial Road and Riddell Road.
On Sunday, May 24, at approximately 3:15 a.m., police received a call to attend Dairy Queen Grill and Chill restaurant located at 540 Riddell Road, regarding an intrusion alarm at the business. Police attended the scene and found a shattered glass panel in an entrance door. Officers cleared the building and found no one inside. Security video footage revealed that at approximately 2:45 a.m., a suspect broke the glass door and entered the building. The suspect was described as a white male wearing blue jeans, a dark coloured hoodie, blue running shoes, gloves and a small backpack. The suspect wore a dark coloured mask revealing only his eyes. At approximately 3:10 a.m., the suspect exited via the rear door of the business. An undisclosed amount of money was taken. The suspect left the area on foot towards Riddell Road.
