Police investigate early morning robbery

Your Orangeville Police Service is investigating a robbery that occurred outside of a Thompson Road residence early this morning (Monday, January 13, 2020).
On Monday, January 13, 2020, at approximately 12:30 a.m. officers attended a residence on Thompson Road in Orangeville and spoke with a female victim. The female advised that she returned home from work and upon exiting her vehicle she was approached by two men. One man had what appeared to be a hand gun and they attempted to steal the female’s vehicle. The men were not successful taking the vehicle. The two suspects fled the area in a white four door sedan. The female was not injured.

Both suspects are described as being black males with Jamaican accents. One male is approximately 6’6” tall with a skinny build and wearing dark clothing. The second male is approximately 5’6” tall with a medium build.

Police are continuing their investigation and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious persons or activity in the area. Police would also like to hear from any property owners with security video cameras on Thompson Road.
