Single vehicle collision results in Impaired Driving charges

Your Orangeville Police Service has arrested and charged a 70-year-old woman, with impaired driving charges, as a result of a single vehicle collision that happened Thursday night.

On Thursday, January 2, 2020 at approximately 10:00 p.m., police received a call to attend a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Rolling Hills Drive and McCannell Avenue. Investigation revealed that a grey Ford was east bound on McCannell Avenue and left the roadway at the intersection of Rolling Hills Drive. The vehicle then crashed through a chain link fence and came to a stop when it struck a wooden deck at the rear of a Marshall Crescent residence. Police attended the scene and investigated the female driver who was still in the vehicle. The female was transported to hospital as a precaution but was later released with no injuries. The incident caused extensive damage to the vehicle, the chain link fence and the wooden deck.

Sandra Jean Pardi-Vodi, 70, of Orangeville, was arrested and charged with Operation While Impaired by Alcohol and Operation While Impaired with Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80. The accused woman is scheduled to appear in court in Orangeville on January 21, 2020 to answer to the allegations.
