P.E.I. man facing impaired driving charges

Your Orangeville Police Service has arrested and charged a 31-year-old Prince Edward Island man, with impaired driving charges, as a result of a single vehicle collision that happened Saturday morning.

On Saturday, November 23, 2019 at approximately 5:50 a.m., police received a call to attend the parking lot of Canadian Tire, 99 First Street, regarding a pickup truck that drove over a curb and struck a bush. A male driver was observed in the vehicle with a decreased level of consciousness. Orangeville Fire and Dufferin Paramedics also attended to assess any injuries.

As a result of the police investigation the lone male was arrested for impaired driving.

Jesse Donald Huestis, 31, of Summerside, Prince Edward Island, is charged with Operation While Impaired by Alcohol and Operation While Impaired with Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80. The accused man is scheduled to appear in court in Orangeville on December 3, 2019 to answer to the allegations.
