Police encourage businesses to update key-holder information

Your Orangeville Police Service is asking for help from local businesses to update key-holder information.

“Having current key-holder information on our database is crucial in the event that a business is involved in a police incident such as a break and enter, security alarm activation, insecure building, especially when the incident occurs outside of business hours”, explained Constable Scott Davis. “Having the most current information on file will help officers connect with the appropriate persons representing the business and will help improve efficiencies.

The police service has begun contacting businesses that are currently in the database but police are asking that businesses submit their updated information through an online form located on the services website.

The form includes all of the pertinent information required including names and contact information of key-holders, security alarm company information and information regarding any security video capabilities that the business might have. Businesses are also encouraged to use the same procedure to update information as it changes moving forward.
Upon completion of the form simply email it to [email protected] Your information will be added to our records management system for future reference.
