Police arrest and charge couple with theft

Your Orangeville Police Service has arrested and charged a 43-year-old male and a 38-year-old female with theft and numerous additional criminal charges after the couple allegedly stole electronic equipment from a Broadway pharmacy on September 16th.

On Monday, September 16, 2019 at approximately 4:00pm, the accused couple attended the Shoppers Drug Mart located at 25 Broadway in Orangeville. The couple left the store with various electronic items, making no attempt to pay for them. The value of the items was in excess of $700. The theft was captured on store security cameras and the incident was reported to police on September 18th.

Police were able to identify the suspects and on Sunday, September 29th, the suspects were located and arrested. At the time of the arrest, the female suspect was in possession of a jacket that had been stolen from another downtown Orangeville business.

Chadwick Karl Ilk, 43, of Caledon, is charged with Theft Under $5000, Possession of Property Obtained By Crime, Failing to Comply with a Recognizance, two counts of Failing to Comply with a Probation Order and two counts of Failing to Comply with an Undertaking.

Stacey Lynn Collins, 38, of Caledon, is charged with Theft Under $5000, Possession of Property Obtained By Crime, four counts of Failing to Comply with a Probation Order and four counts of Failing to Comply with an Undertaking.

The two remain in custody pending bail hearings regarding the allegations.
