Police investigate mischiefs at local school and church

Your Orangeville Police Service is investigating several acts of mischief to the exterior of a local school and church that occurred over the weekend.

On Monday, August 12, 2019, at approximately 10:30a.m., police received a report of vandalism occurring over the past weekend at St. Benedict Elementary School located at 335 Blind Line in Orangeville. The complainant reports that several exterior walls and doors were damaged by spray paint sometime over the weekend.

On Tuesday, August 13, 2019, police received a report that a sign had been the target of mischief at the Orangeville Christian Reformed Church at 50 Blind Line. The damage to the sign, also caused by spray paint, was discovered Sunday morning. Police believe the same person is likely to have caused the damage at both locations.

Police are continuing their investigation and would like to hear from anyone who can assist with further information regarding either incident.
