Police seek witnesses to single vehicle collision

Your Orangeville Police Service is investigating a single vehicle collision that happened at approximately 3:45pm this afternoon on Centennial Road east of C Line.

On Friday, June 14, 2019 at approximately 2:45 p.m., police received a call to attend a motor vehicle collision on Centennial Road just east of C Line. Preliminary investigation reveals that a black Chevrolet pick-up truck was east bound on Centennial Road and left the roadway on the south side of the road. The vehicle then crossed the roadway, struck a hydro pole and travelled through the ditch on the north side of Centennial Road. The vehicle came to rest after striking the side of a commercial building located at 71 Centennial Road. The driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Charges are pending.

Centennial Road, from C Line to Robb Boulevard remains closed while Orangeville Hydro completes repairs to hydro lines.

Police are continuing their investigation and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
