Police charge man in ongoing drug investigation

The Orangeville Police Service has arrested and charged a 28-year-old male for drug related charges.

As a result of an ongoing drug investigation, police stopped a vehicle in the area of Century Drive and Townline, at approximately 5:10 p.m. Wednesday afternoon (October 4, 2017). As a result of the investigation, the driver of the vehicle was subsequently arrested at the scene.

Kyle Anthony Hugh Kelly, 28, of Grand Valley, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Drive While Disqualified and Breach of Probation.

Police seized a small quantity of what’s believed to be crack cocaine from the accused man. The accused man’s vehicle was also seized.

Kelly was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Orangeville on November 6, 2017 to answer to the allegations.

Police continue to investigate incidents involving illicit drug activity within the community.
