Welcome to our new website. The members of the Orangeville Police Service are focused on our community and providing the highest quality of policing for the citizens we serve through professionalism, integrity and accountability. As well, we are providing an unprecedented level of communication between our citizens and officers. This direction commenced with a community and employee survey and engaging the public in numerous community events to determine the priorities. The feedback provided formed the foundation of the 2016 – 2018 Business Plan that focuses on key areas such as drug control, traffic enforcement, school bullying prevention, improved communication and increased foot patrols. With input from our community stakeholders and Police Service members we have redeveloped our Service’s Mission Statement and Values to keep our police service relevant to those we serve.
Orangeville Police Service has demonstrated fiscal responsibility to the residents of our community by holding the Police Budget at a 0% increase for 2016. We have embraced technological advances to maximize our efficiencies. Our service has worked hard to recognize and establish ways in which we can operate in a more efficient manner while maintaining the same high level of service for the residents of our community. Our accomplishments have been recently recognized as result of being nominated for the following awards through the Dufferin Board of Trade: Business of the Year award (10 or more employees) and the Community Pillar award.
Through our collective commitment and continued partnerships, we are dedicated to making a difference in the community. We are proud of our accomplishments and recognize our successes would not be possible without the strong partnerships we share with our residents, community organizations, our Police Services Board, Town Council and our dedicated employees. We are very thankful for these partnerships.
