Providing Safety and Security

The Orangeville Police Service has been in existence since 1864 and has proudly provided safety and security to the entire community.

The service is made up of 45 sworn officers, 31 civilian staff and 3 auxiliary constables. The Orangeville Police Service also has a Communications Centre operating 365 days a year providing dispatch service for the Shelburne Police Service as well as the Orangeville, Shelburne, Grand Valley, Mulmur and Melancthon Fire Departments.

The Orangeville Police Service is a community focused team that works in partnership with and is accountable to the community. Our success would not be possible without the strong partnerships we share with our residents, community organizations, our Police Services Board, Town Council and our dedicated employees. Through these established partnerships we are forming a collaborative effort to better the quality of life for the residents of our community.
